Overview

APAC (Asia Pacific) @ Recharge is an Employee Resource Group that I co-founded in order to elevate the voices of Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander colleagues. In turn, this encouraged other communities to offer their diverse perspectives and celebrate our collective cultures in respectful, productive, and meaningful ways.

As the Employee Experience lead for our ERG, I organized our event calendar, socialized ideas with our team and stakeholders, project-managed our planning work back schedule, coordinated with other ERG leads for intersectional events, and co-hosted events.

Since with the launch of our community Slack channel and Confluence resource hub on Lunar New Year's Day (Feb 1) of 2022, our team of co-leads worked together to curate thoughtful cultural content highlighting various groups and host 11 engaging events including two inspiring panels, and a collaborative workshop. Participation for these events held the attention of up to a third of our company and further grew our community's membership each time.

Feedback from our community expressed gratitude for our work to empower underrepresented folks, pride in having their cultures authentically shared with others, and an appreciation for a safe space to discuss issues relevant to our community.
